Welcome to Cornerstone's Youth Page!
Whether you are an interested student or an inquiring parent, we are glad you have found your way here! We pray that together we may rejoice in the good news of the gospel of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, be conformed more and more into His image, and be united as church, all so that we may bear faithful witness to Christ in this generation.
Drew Abercrombie
Director of Youth and Families
The Youth Ministry of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church purposes to support and partner with parents of 7th-12th grade students in their calling to train youth who love God and follow Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, prayer, fellowship, and mission so that each youth might be a biblically informed disciple, active member of the body of Christ, and a faithful witness for Christ in the world.
We recognize that the family is the primary means of discipleship that God has ordained in the life of a young person. It is no accident that Paul refers to the church as “the household of faith,” and to salvation as adoption. These images reinforce the idea of salvation as an entrance into a heavenly family. In line with this Scriptural teaching, we seek to strengthen and encourage the families in our church. Our Youth Ministry does not aim to supplant the family, but instead aims to support and encourage the parents in the discipleship of their children.
